Women’s French Open Poll

Women’s action at Roland Garros began with defending champion Ana Ivanovic winning in straight sets. It was a straight set loss for Frenchwoman Amelie Mauresmo who has had a poor showing at the French in the past few years. Eighteen-year old wild card winner Lauren Embree from the USA lost in her showing against 11th seed Nadia Petrova however she will be back in the junior’s tournament
