HeadsUp Entertainment Inc. announces “Super Cruise” Poker tournament

HeadsUp Entertainment Inc, owner of the Canadian Poker Tour and soon the World Poker Showdown, has completed an agreement with CI Travel to a week long poker tournament on board of Royal Caribbean’s “Freedom of the Seas” cruise ship. The “Poker Super Cruise” event is organized in collaboration with the World Poker Showdown, and will take place from April 25th to May 2nd, 2010. Players will have the chance to enter a series of tournaments with buy ins ranging from $340 to the $2700 Main Event, and enjoy a week in several locations in the Caribbean including Bahamas, St.

Canadian Poker Tour and World Poker Showdown present 2009 Costa Rica Poker Showdown

HeadsUp Entertainment International Inc. and the World Poker Showdown (WPS) are hosting the Costa Rica Poker Showdown at the Jazz Casino in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica , from November 6-15th. The tournament series will offer a total of 17 events with buy in’s ranging from $150 to the $2700 Main Event with estimated total prize pool exceeding $1,000,000.

HeadsUp Entertainment International signs deal to acquire the “World Poker Showdown”

HeadsUp Entertainment International Inc., owner of the Canadian Poker Tour, has recently signed a letter of intent to acquire all shares of the “World Poker Showdown” as a wholly owned subsidiary. Viva Las WSOP: Watching Poker Legends - Part II

The timing for the WSOP this year was impacted by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) when they arrested David Carruthers, CEO of BETonSPORTS, in Dallas, Texas, while changing planes on his return to Costa Rica from the Company’s AGM in the UK. Other online gaming company executives like Calvin Ayre, CEO of BoDog.com, were compelled to change their plans of attending the WSOP, and supporting events, as a precautionary measure to avoid being possibly arrested themselves; eventhough unrelated to the BoS situation.
